Moving to Brisbane!

Yep! Moving to 'Brisvagas'! Decided to move closer to where my main work is - gigging. I will get myself a nice little part-time job and a place to rest my head! Can't wait to be honest! I've grown to really like Brisbane. There's so much there for me - musically. Have some friends there too, all are musicians too, so we shall see what happens!

Wish me luck.

Future plans!

So, I have many plans I wish to see come into fruition! I shall see to it that this band I have starts getting really good, high-paying gigs! We're definitely talented enough to do them, it's just about getting out there and getting seen...or 'scene'. We have lots of ideas and gimmicks to better spread our popularity. For example, we have a dress theme, it's kind of retro, think brown oldies trousers (or grey) with funky shirts, a loose tie and a waist coat! Don't see many bands play like that, eh? Plus with fog machines, light machines and general stage gimmicks....playing guitar with teeth and all that! So yeah, we'll be playing the gigs that pay us thousands just for one night soon!

Another thing I want to do is get a camper van somehow and travel around Aussie! This country is one of the most diverse, beautiful places on Earth, and there's so much to see!

Uluru:

Daintree National Park:

The raw outback:

Sydney:

Best country in the world! Hands down!

Goin' back to Mount Isa..

Tomorrow I head to Brisbane to fly to Mount Isa....a small mining town in the middle of the outback.....me & Simon have 3 gigs there. We get the flight tickets payed and free accommodation, food and drink, not bad at all! Only thing is there's fuck all do to there and it's hot as hell! The audience is weird too.....it's so hard to get the guys clapping after each song, but when we have breaks we always have people going up to us saying we're awesome.....just never bother clapping!! Very frustrating...but yeah, I suppose they're mostly tired miners who wanna chill with some good music.

Me & Simon made a video last time we were in Mount Isa, kind of taking the piss out of the place, but we got some really nasty comments from YouTubers in Oz so we had to pull it down hahahha....so we're half expecting an angry mob of people awaiting us haha

Woohoo...Mount Isa......*sigh*

The orchard and random stuff!

So, lately I've been on the orchard, trying to get the place up to scratch. It's in a mess at the moment! So much grass to cut, and trees to chicken-poo. So, I'm kind of living out there and at Noosa or wherever I may roam. I shall take some pictures soon and upload them for y'all!

But yeah, I need to get a learner driver's license here or else I'm stranded....so I opened a bank account today, to prove this that and the other....red tape.....so yeah, I deposited $20....and the teller wrote it as $200!! So I am now richer $200! Yum yum! Let's hope they don't notice!

But yeah, drivers license...a bashed up car and I'm happy!

Music and stuff...

Been very musically orientated lately. Am doing a juggling act of various things.....got the duo gigs with Simon, the trio band thing (with Jamie & Simon) and am also writing music with Jen (mate in Brisbane) as well as writing some stuff of my own!

Still getting plenty of gigs with the duo thing, although I'd rather more with the band. It's heaps better! Crowd love it, the band has more energy etc. etc. Turns out we get payed more too, I thought we'd be losing money!

The Jamie person me and Simon came across quite accidentally....me & Simon put our intent out for an awesome drummer to find us....and two days later, and guy rang a mate of mine looking for work, mentioned he was a drummer, got the hook-up and hey-presto! This guy's amazing! He can do real complex beats like samba and jazz and complements us two really well.....should have a demo to show you all soon...

So, I don't have much to show y'all right now, I only have demos, and I don't particularly throw them around at present, but watch this space!
